House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries calls George Santos a 'serial fraudster' in New Hampshire visit
Just hours after the House moved to expel Rep. George Santos from the House, following a scathing ethics report which found that he had exploited his position for personal financial gains, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries told WMUR, in an exclusive one-on-one interview Friday, that his colleagues worked across the aisle to make the right move, and push Santos out.
Jeffries was the keynote speaker at the State Democratic Party’s Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner, on Friday.
“The House of Representatives acted in a strong bipartisan fashion, to make it clear that there has to be some minimal standards of professionalism. Clearly, George Santos did not live up to that,” Jeffries told WMUR before his speech.
